Diagnose it in 60 seconds
- Check the immersion switch is on and the indicator light is showing
- Check the RCD/fuse in your consumer unit — if tripped, the element may have failed
- Press the small red reset button on the thermostat (top of the immersion)
- Listen at the tank — a working element gives a faint hum
- If still no heat, the element has likely failed
